What are you wearing to bed? A night cream?

I am a self diagnosed bad skin therapist! I am the worst at taking my makeup off at night time.

However, when I do take it off and do a really luxurious night time routine man do I notice a difference in my skin.

One of my favourite parts of working in spas was that I used to stay back after work and do a through cleanse and play with products and man did my skin love it. One of my fav products was the La Prairie Sleep Mask! Omg you have to try it! Go to David Jones Melbourne and see my girl Lori and do yourself a favour.

So why should we care about a night time routine, specifically a night cream?

Well firstly, think about the texture, it's thicker and richer and that means it hydrates, plumps, soothes and deeply nourishes your skin during the twilight. This helps decrease fine lines and wrinkles and drench skin in moisture.

Also night creams tend to have lots of active ingredients in them, so you're getting great vitamins, peptides, hyaluronic acid, retinol, etc, into your skin while it's relaxed and rested at night.

We know our bodies rest in the darkness of night and so does our skin.  It's in repair mode so make sure you're feeding it with great ingredients. There is no pesky pollutants, spf, makeup or UV rays annoying your skin so the actives go into your skin beautifully. If you wanna increase your night skin results add some form of exfoliation into your bed time routine.

In a perfect world, now remember I have taurus in five planets in my 5th house whcih makes me super chilled, this is how my nocturnal dreams would be:

  1. Eminence Stone Crop Cleansing Oil (to remove makeup, pollution etc from my skin)
  2. Eminence Firm Skin Acai Cleanser (2nd cleanse)
  3. Eminence Lime Refresh Tonique (spray all over)
  4. Eminence Firm Skin Acai Exfoliating Peel (my exfoliation step)
  5. Eminence Marine Flower Peptide Concentrate (serum)
  6. Eye Gel (I'm currently trialling eye creams/gels because I get millia/blocked pores and I think I've been using eye cream that are too thick)
  7. Eminence Marine Flower Peptide Night Cream (pure decadence) I am also trialling the We Are Feel Good Inc Night Cream too.
  8. Eminence Marine Flower Peptide Lip Serum (only if it's not gonna be rubed off 😉)

Some other nocturnal tips; silk pillow cases, masturbation, over night hair masks/oils (The Body Shop has a Pre Cleansing Hair Oil that I love), falling asleep to The Housewives and linen sprays.

Sweet Dreams Rebels xx
